Galeria Carles Taché

Jordi Benito

Granollers, 1951 - Barcelona, 2008
Jordi Benito was a Spanish artist. He studied technical architecture in Barcelona, and began painting with works close to arte povera. Then he went on to conceptual art, making happenings and environments, like Descoberta Fregoli (1972). He developed actions halfway between the body art and the theatrical spectacle. From the second half of the 1980s he opted for the facilities (Malson, els llits de la mort, 1976) and carried out multidisciplinary actions, such as those carried out with the musician Carles Santos.
Galeria Carles Taché has recovered his work Suite Carmona (1991) for the exhibition Tribute to catalan contamporary art.
