Always in black and white, photographs by Alberto GarcÃa-Alix (León, 1956) show us friends, women, places or buildings, acquiring the portrait a special relevance. A sagacious, bare and poetic. GarcÃa-Alix documents what happens in his life and, this way, he somehow portraits himself.
Honored with the Fine Arts National Award in 1999, he has one of the most solid and singular trajectories in Spanish contemporary photography. His works join such important collections as the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina SofÃa (Madrid) one or the National Funds of Photography (Paris) one, amongst others.
