Susana Solano

Solano studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Barcelona, where he also taught. She has participated in international competitions such as Documenta de Kassel VIII and IX (1987 and 1992), XIX Bienal de Sao Paolo (1987), Skulptur Projekte in Münster (1987), Venice Biennial (1988 and 1993) and Carnegie International of Pittsburgh (1988). ). She was awarded with the Special Prize, awarded by The Utsukushi-Ga-Hara Open Air Museum, Tokyo (1985), National Prize of the Plastic Arts of the Ministry of Culture of Spain (1988), CEOE Award for the Arts, Madrid (1996) , Tomás Francisco Prieto Award from the Royal House of the Currency, Madrid (2011) and the GAC Prize for his artistic career, Barcelona (2015).
She has collaborated with the Galeria Carles Taché by lending her sculpture A Philip Guston IV (2012) for the exhibition Tribute to catalan contamporary art.
