He initially studied architecture, although he specialized in design and art at the Eina School in Barcelona. He started exhibiting in 1969 in the exhibition hall of the Ateneo BarcelonĂ©s, and since then he has done it in the best galleries and museums in the world such as MACBA (Barcelona), Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina SofĂa (Madrid), Georges Pompidou Center (Paris), Gallerie Camille Von Scholz (Brussels) or Joan Prats Gallery (New York), among others. In 2004 he was awarded the National Prize for Plastic Arts of Spain by the Ministry of Culture. In 2008 he was awarded the National Visual Arts Prize of the Generalitat of Catalonia for the exhibition Do not tell me anything, presented at the MACBA in Barcelona and at the Reina SofĂa National Art Center Museum in Madrid and which reflects the consolidated and unclassifiable history of more than thirty years of investigation of the environment of the own identity and the poetics of the object.
