The photographic work of Antoine D’Agata is a true example of the dissolution of the boundaries between the photographer and the photographed. D’Agata understands photography as a way-in his words- of taking sides and, therefore, his work acquires an undeniable autobiographical dimension.
Isolated from a lifestyle that could provide him the recognition to his work, D’Agata lives in an erratic way, without a fixed residence and traveling and working around the world.
He is part of the prestigious agency Magnum Photos since 2004 and has published several books of photography as it is Vortex (2003) and Stigma (2004), among others.
