Javier PĆ©rez

Bilbao, 1968
Multidisciplinary artist, Javier PĆ©rez appeared in the artistic scene during the '90s. His artworks usually work as conciliation places in which he resolves tensions created by opposite concepts. Ambiguity, fragility and inestability are also concepts that have oriented his work. During the last two decades he has developed a very personal and intimate narrative that has turned his work into one of the most interesting ones in the artistic landscape nowadays.
PĆ©rez represented Spain at the Venice Biennale in 2001 and he had an important solo show at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina SofĆa's Palacio de Cristal (2004-2005).
